Studio Vans has designed the Reusable Interior for a Lo-Fi Camper in Balivanich, Scotland.

This project saw the creation of a modular reusable campervan interior, designed and built by Studio Vans in the Outer Hebrides.

The project provides a solution for a lifelong interior. Entirely decoupled from the client's VW Transporter van, the interior becomes reusable with any van for as and when the client goes electric.

The interchangeable modular interior initiates circularity and minimises waste, disrupting the traditional linear manufacturing model.

From its lightweight and infinitely recyclable aluminium frame to airy canvas storage baskets, the reusable interior saves fuel in its current van and will maximise range in an electric van.

This project has been longlisted in the sustainable interior category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
