Gad has designed the Shaoxing Rice Wine Town Reception Room in Shaoxing, China.

This project is located in Dongpu town, which has been the centre of the Shaoxing wine industry since ancient times.

Shaoxing rice wine has a long history and its culture is deeply rooted in this soil. The original site was a workshop for producing rice wine, and now its red brick chimney is preserved.

In the early stages of the project, it will be used as Shaoxing Yellow Rice Wine Exhibition and Experience Hall, including the yellow rice wine cultural experience exhibition, a bookstore, fa lower shop and other functionalities. Later, it will be converted into a waterfront commercial building.

Modular space and form are highly unified, bringing the maximum degree of rapid prefabrication and installation to the project.

This project has been longlisted in the cultural building category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
