Con Form Architects has created a workspace in the heart of London that encompasses the city's dynamism.

This project is located in the heart of Mayfair within Alison and Peter Smithson's iconic Economist Building, now rebranded as Smithson Tower.

The redesign of the 11th floor for a financial client addresses the concept to maintain both internal openness and dynamic views to the surrounding city, while also celebrating and reflecting the contextual uniqueness of the classic layout.

Materials including the Portland Stone and white reveals of the existing façade / interior boundary ground the scheme in its context, with textured and heavier elements below cill level enhancing the lighter and visual architecture at the higher, visual level.

This project has been longlisted in the small workspace interiors category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
