Wip Architecture designed the Station Biologique de Roscoff in France.
The walkway along the station's wall that's been entirely reworked with a new platform – in order to take full advantage of the surrounding oceans.
Resting by the sea, opposite of l'Île-de-Batz, the fishpond has two aspects. A public face on the beach, massive and inherent to its function – to retain water – and a lighter discreet side, only revealed to researchers at the Roscoff Biological Station.
The project in this environment creates a coherent and respectful architecture and magnifies the exceptional character of the site by integrating with it through subtle design.
This project has been longlisted in the landscape project category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
