Sony Group Corporation has created a workspace in Japan to accommodate a variety of working styles.
The project consists of a modular system with grid frames on the ceiling and bases on the floor at regular intervals. Depending on the way people work and connect each other, it allows for flexible reconfiguration of the space, with columns, wall panels, lighting, shelves, and desks.
The module system has the further benefit of contributing to sustainable construction by eliminating excessive building works, reducing building workload and shortening the construction period.
This project has been longlisted in the small workspace interiors category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
