Quality Innovation United has created a multidimensional feel for a festival project in Taiwan.
The project was created as a pavilion for the Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts' International Container Art Festival. The theme of the festival was Van Buren Supernova, chosen to explore notions of light, stars, hope and a new life.
The pavilion consists of a white, lightweight steel frame structure that generates a hierarchy of spaces in which five container-like objects engage with each other by means of hanging, floating, and escaping. The dynamic lighting and materiality of the volumes offer the visitors a multi-dimensional interaction, reflecting on Kaohsiung’s future while firmly linked to the city's port heritage.
This project has been longlisted in the architectural lighting design category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
