Wingback has created a sleek pencil design with purpose and style.

The Designer's Mechanical Pencil is engineered to provide precision and increased capacity, with an internal mechanism that holds ten times more lead than the industry standard.

A wide 10mm diameter means it sits comfortably in the hand to reduce writing fatigue, while the reassuring weight of its materials encourages more time to be taken with every pen stroke.

Made in the United Kingdom by London design studio Wingback, it comes in raw brass, stainless steel or with a scratch-resistant tungsten carbide-carbon finish.

The pencil can be personalised with a laser-engraved inscription or detailed artist graphics for limited edition collaborations.

This project has been longlisted in the workplace design category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
