DesignAgency has designed The Drake Hotel Modern Wing in Toronto, Canada.

This project started in 2004, where The Drake Hotel transformed a former flop house into one of the most important artistic hotels of its era and sparked Toronto's Queen West neighbourhood to become a destination for art, fashion, food and culture.

A new, five-storey Modern Wing signals the next chapter for the legendary hotspot and provides the hotel with its first living room-style lobby, a street-front bar, expanded event spaces, 32 new guest rooms, and a rooftop penthouse suite.

In line with the hotel’s evolution, DesignAgency refined the Drake’s signature aesthetic, renewing the hotel as one of the city's greatest meeting places.

This project has been longlisted in the hotel and short-stay interiors category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
