Wilkinson & Rivera has created a work that brings new verve to an iconic design.

The Windsor pays homage to long-lasting design by breathing fresh life into a well-known item. It is a playful design that has been imagined as if refracted through a filter, a plane of glass, or in a shimmering body of water.

The Windsor is shaped and finished by hand, and is created by the traditional sustainable craft of steam-bending to avoid excess wood wastage

Designed to bridge traditional and contemporary realms, it stands in recognition of the sustainable, slow manufacturing principles left behind by modernisation.

This project has been longlisted in the seating design category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
