Nathan Martell and Steve Suchy for Part & Whole have created a comprehensive modular seating system driven by the principles of circular design.

Total Sofa System is a comprehensive seating system defined by its open-ended modularity and relentless attention to detail. Built with the design professional in mind, its component-based construction offers maximum versatility from a minimum number of parts.

The system is driven by the principles of circular design, whereby every component has been designed to be fully removable and replaceable, from the innovative modular suspension system to the fabric covers.

All of the hardware remains concealed or integrated into the components themselves, resulting in a collection with all of the flexibility of a modular system, but the appearance of a unified, singular design.

This project has been longlisted in the seating design category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
