Anna Maria Øfstedal Eng has produced a bench inspired by the beauty of nature.

The Vride Bench by Anna Maria Øfstedal Eng is inspired by the silhouettes of crooked twigs and roots in Norway's lush nature.

Made from Norwegian ash and intuitively handcrafted using a chainsaw, it is designed as an abstract interpretation of a bench, morphing from an item of functional furniture into an organic sculpture.

It is a piece of furniture designed to engage and arouse the curiosity of the consumer, combining solid wood with a timeless aesthetic to create an object that will last for generations.

This project has been longlisted in the seating design category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
