Muda Architects has created a bookstore experience in China to bring peace and tranquility.
The project design is themed around the idea of a book falling from the sky, and is presented as an opportunity for visitors to immerse themselves in the world of words.
The concise interior avoids excess to focus on the tranquility of the lakeside setting. Without winding corridors or hidden areas, the whole space gives the visitors unlimited possibilities to explore in the form of both physical and mental freedom.
The journey of self-discovery in the bookstore continues with a seated reading area overlooking the water, where the limpid depths act as a mirror for self-reflection.
This project has been longlisted in the large retail interiors category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
