Ton has produced a collection created in partnership with Swedish studio Claesson Koivisto Rune that reinterprets a modernist design.

Collection 822 was created in partnership with the Swedish studio Claesson Koivisto Rune. It takes inspiration from Josef Hoffmann's 1930 design of the modernist model A811, with the Swedish studio extending the design in the direction of contemporary Scandinavian minimalism.

The design sees proportions crafted with the use of manual wood-bending technology, with character added further from the graphic dot perforations in the plywood seat and backrest.

The collection comprises a chair, armchair, lounge armchair, bar stool and low stool.

This project has been shortlisted in the seating design category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
