Barber Osgerby has produced its first solo exhibition and new collection, designed for Galerie Kreo.
Signals comprises floor, wall and pendant lamps, and takes as its defining gesture the cone, a recurring motif throughout Barber Osgerby's body of work. It draws on the studio’s preferred hybrid of 'engineered craft' as the alliance of the uncompromisingly industrial with the uncompromisingly artisanal.
Each lamp in the collection is the product of a series of dualities: two materials, two geometries and two contrasting fabrication methods. The body of each piece is constructed from hand-formed, colourful aluminium box sections alongside large conical mouth-blown Murano glass shades.
This project has been shortlisted in the lighting design category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
