Jing Liu
Jing Liu is a founding principal of SO-IL, an international architecture and design studio based in New York.
In 2008 she founded SO-IL with Dutch architect Florian Idenburg. Liu has since led SO–IL to socially engage with contemporary cities for projects including the Artists Loft North Omaha and the Martin Luther King, Jr. Library in Cleveland.
Her projects range from artistic collaborations with contemporary choreographers and visual artists to master plan and public realm design in cities such as Melbourne and Indianapolis. Liu considers she combines her passion to re-engage people with the built environment, digital technology and traditional craft to design places of exchange that welcome interpretation and transformation.
