Koichi Takada
Tokyo-born architect Koichi Takada is founder of eponymic practice Koichi Takada Architects based in Sydney, Australia.
Takada's architecture is informed by his Japanese heritage, taking cues from organic forms and local contexts.
Notable projects include Arc in Sydney, the National Museum of Qatar Gift Shops in Doha, Solar Trees Marketplace in Shanghai, Sunflower House in Italy and Urban Forest in Brisbane.
In 2021 Takada published Koichi Takada: Architecture, Nature, Design showcasing his career and nature-inspired approach to architecture. He considers his mission to encourage the next generation of architects to to consciously shape the future of humankind.
