Omar Gandhi

Omar Gandhi

Toronto-based architect Omar Gandhi is founder of self-named practice Omar Gandhi Architects.

The studio was awarded the Canada Council for the Arts Professional Prix de Rome and included in Wallpaper Magazine Architects Directory. 

In 2016 architect Gandhi was named one of Monocle Magazine's Most Influential Canadians and one of Architectural League of New York Emerging Voices. He was also appointed the Louis I. Kahn visiting assistant professorship in architectural design at Yale School of Architecture

In 2018 office Omar Gandhi Architects received the Governor General Medal in Architecture for their cabin project Rabbit Snare Gorge and were the only Canadian practice honoured in Architectural Record Magazine’s Design Vanguard.

In 2021 the studio completed the revitalization of Peggy's Cove, one of Canada's most iconic landmarks.
