Yuri Suzuki
Yuri Suzuki is sound design partner at design consultancy Pentagram.
His work explores sound and visual language through artworks, installations and product design.
The Japanese artist has worked on research-based projects for IKEA’s Space Ten Laboratory and collaborated with Google to examine the relationship between sound, people and their environments.
Passionate about music and technology, Suzuki has created bespoke musical instruments for musicians including Will.i.am and Jeff Mills.
Recent solo and group exhibitions include the Tate London, the Design Museum, Turner Contemporary, Mudam Luxembourg and the Museum of Modern Art in Tokyo. His work is also in the permanent collections at MoMA in New York. In 2016 Suzuki received the Designer of the Future award at Design Miami.
