Hayball has designed Alba Thermal Springs and Spa in Victoria, Australia.

Alba Thermal Springs and Spa is a 15-hectare tourism venture with rejuvenation at its heart.

The Mornington Peninsula is a place of shifting geologies, rapidly changing weather and subtle emergence of flora and fauna.

"We recognise the peninsula’s volatility as its challenge and its beauty," said Hayball.

Drawing on the unique characteristics of the site, Alba Thermal Springs and Spa reimagines the former green wedge site into an immersive bathing and wellness destination, comprising 32 geothermal pools, water features and spa buildings nestled into the tertiary dune landscape.

This project has been longlisted in the health and wellbeing project category of Dezeen Awards 2023.
