SkB Architects has developed the Bay Area Research Company space in San Francisco, United States.
Set within an old concrete warehouse in a burgeoning part of town, this project was designed to support a think tank exploring the future of science, art, and technology, through a long-term lens.

"Rather than emulate overtly futuristic styles and metaphors that this client explores daily, the concept was to create an environment that was familiar and rooted in humanity, a better-than-home environment infused by lush green natural settings," said SkB Architects.

In these evolving times where the traditional workplace is challenged, it's said that the desire to create a calm, alluring environment that draws existing and future employees back to the office was important for this project.

This project has been longlisted in the workplace interior (large) category of Dezeen Awards 2023.
