Humbert & Poyet has produced the interiors for Beefbar in Milan, Italy.

In the historic and vibrant heart of Milan, the Beefbar recalls the style of a creative city full of figureheads – as well as its passion for exquisite cuisine and luxurious design.

"We were inspired by the major figures of the Milanese style of the 1940s and 1960s and the timeless sophistication and modernism that their designs gave rise to," said Humbert & Poyet.

The site for the Beefbar Milan is in the chapel of a former archepiscopal seminary that had been hidden for over 500 years, therefore, the architects wanted to transcend the space while respecting its memory and architectural details.

This project has been longlisted in the restaurant and bar interior category of Dezeen Awards 2023.
