Al-Jawad Pike has built Chowdhury Walk, Daubeney Road in London, United Kingdom.
This housing project at Daubeney Road is part of a series of developments repurposing under-used Hackney
Council land to provide new architecturally designed council homes within the borough.
The scheme delivers 11 affordable and social rent homes that replace the garages and ad-hoc car parking that were
formerly on-site – while establishing a coherent architectural and urban design strategy that knits the site into the existing estate with rejuvenated and accessible public space.
The dwellings provide a mix of two and three-bed houses with one fully accessible four-bed family home in a staggered terrace arrangement.
This project has been longlisted in the housing project category of Dezeen Awards 2023.
