D/Dock was commissioned by Culturespaces to transform the interiors of the Fabrique des Lumières Amsterdam.

The Fabrique des Lumières is the largest immersive digital art centre in the Netherlands.

Commissioned by Culturespaces from Paris, D/Dock's design and build team redesigned the interior of the monumental Zuiveringshal West in Amsterdam into a unique 3,800 square metre digital art experience venue.

Using modern materials to create a new environment that evoked the look and feel of a 19th-century factory building, the result is a space that showcases the masterpieces of renowned artists such as Klimt and Dali, alongside contemporary artists.

"Advanced technology, including over 100 state-of-the-art projectors and accompanying music, create a mesmerising experience for its visitors," said D/Dock.

This project has been longlisted in the architectural lighting design category of Dezeen Awards 2023.
