Retrouvius has redeveloped a family home in Paris, France.

An 18th-century three-storey family home in central Paris for a Dutch family who relocated to France from London after Brexit.

The apartment required a complete spatial reorganisation to improve the quality of light in living areas, reinvigorate forgotten spaces and improve the general lack of cohesion.

Softening the apartment meant reconnecting it to the period of its construction, removing boxing to rediscover original detailing and introducing salvaged elements, in particular, its timbers.

This project has been longlisted in the sustainable interior category of Dezeen Awards 2023.
