Edition Office has developed Fenwick in Kew, Australia.

This project is located on the edge of the Birrarung River, adjacent to Yarra Bend Park. Perched on the edge of the escarpment with views along the river as bold as the horizon, Fenwick allows unencumbered connections to landscapes rare to witness this close to the city.

With clear patterns of prospect and refuge in mind, the three pavilions of Fenwick push back into their escarpment perch allowing connections to the distant landscape to be drawn deep into the building and through the site onto the street.

From the flourishing central gardens, a formal exuberance allows for arched moments of entry and invitation that curve upwards and outwards towards the extremities of the site to frame distant vistas and corridors to the valley beyond.

This project has been longlisted in the housing project category of Dezeen Awards 2023.
