Void has designed Fyr, a lighting installation in an Oslo sky bar.
Fyr is the lighting centrepiece of the Dronning Eufemias Gate 8 sky bar in the Oslo financial district.
108 fixtures of diodes and borosilicate glass mounted in a steel grid create a three-dimensional raster of light.
The eight-metre-long dynamic luminaire is framed by some of the most ambitious building developments in Norway and is visible from a large part of the city.
"The movement of the lights reference the fluid dynamics seen in the reception installation (Flyt), and the Braathen Eiendom Flow concept of interchangeable office spaces and services for their tenants," said Void.
This project has been longlisted in the architectural lighting design category of Dezeen Awards 2023.
