Approach Design Studio has developed the HuiZhen High School in Ningbo, China.

This project is located in the urban area of Ningbo; a boarding high school with 30 classes in size.

"We firmly believe that wasting time mindfully is the best way for adolescent students to release stress, adjust their body and mind and discover beauty," said Approach Design Studio.

The project's goal was to separate the concept of school and campus and redistribute efficiency on the basis of constant total space efficiency.

"We [made] the school responsible for teaching, thus allowing [the] campus to become... a place where students can waste time mindfully," added Approach Design Studio.

This project has been longlisted in the education project category of Dezeen Awards 2023.
