Studio Jencquel and Alexis Dornier have designed the Lost Lindenberg Hotel in Jembrana, Bali, Indonesia.

Off the beaten tourist path, surrounded by the jungle and temples and fronted by the ocean is the Lost Lindenberg Hotel.

The resort focuses on the collective experience of the guests, who are invited to spend their time together in the property's communal areas.

A sense of retreat is offered in each of the lovingly-designed eight rooms elevated high among the treetops of the West Balinese palm jungle, set on a long, remote, black sand beach.

"The own surf spot invites everyone to surf calmly in an intimate atmosphere," said Studio Jencquel. "In the vegan restaurant, guests sit at a large table together."

This project has been longlisted in the hospitality project category of Dezeen Awards 2023.
