AMDL Circle has created Novartis Pavillon, an exhibition, meeting and event centre in Basel, Switzerland.

The architect was tasked with exploring the potential of architecture to communicate the values of science.

The Novartis Pavillon aims to embodying Novartis' values of creativity, collaboration and public engagement through open spaces, sustainability and learning experiences.

The centre's ring-shaped building features a distinctive, zero-energy media façade, that covers its entire external surface. Using organic photovoltaic and LED lights, the façade screens dynamic artistic interpretations of Novartis’s research.

This project has been longlisted in the cultural project category of Dezeen Awards 2023.
