Labics has completed the renovation of Palazzo dei Diamanti, a 16th-century Italian Renaissance palace in Ferrara.

The comprehensive restoration project focused on enhancing the interior and exterior exhibition spaces. Floors were revitalised with Venetian terrazzo, while burnished brass portals demarcate room thresholds.

Additionally, the project rejuvenated the Palazzo's open-air spaces. External courtyards received new terracotta flooring and Labics constructed a new loggia from charred wood, partially glazed, which crosses the garden and connects the two wings of the palace.

This project has been longlisted in the heritage project category of Dezeen Awards 2023.
