Raum has designed a public car park, office building and collective housing in Nantes, France.
Located near the downtown area of Nantes, the project was set up in a new urban development area close to the central train station.
The project is divided into three separate entities: a public car park with public space and an urban farm on the roof, an office building for the French national railway company (SNCF) and a housing tower block which offers views towards the city.
The project image and identity are therefore reflected through its uses, paths and capacity for the appropriation of facades.
Volumetrically separated, the different parts of the project fit into a coherent whole linked by the minerality of its facades and the variety of materials they offer.
This project has been longlisted in the mixed-use project category of Dezeen Awards 2023.
