VPPR Architects has developed the White House School in London, United Kingdom.
This project is a new early-year education building for the White House Preparatory School and Woodentops Kindergarten located on a constrained site, situated between a Grade II school building and a two-storey house in South London.
Its distinctive facade features a double-pitch roof and a duo-tone brick design that responds to the surrounding context.
The ground floor is clad in red brick and accommodates a large multi-purpose double-height hall that opens up to a wellness garden at the rear.
In addition, four classrooms for focused, quiet learning are positioned on the upper level, clad in white glazed brick.
This project has been longlisted in the education project category of Dezeen Awards 2023.
