Shortlisted for Dezeen Awards 2023 Bentley Lighthouse Award, Elissa Brunato the founder of material innovation company Radiant Matter in London.

Radiant Matter's mission is to shift the textile industry's dependence on petroleum-derived plastics, metals, and minerals as a colour material resource.

It's BioSequin is a textile solution to the petroleum-based plastic options on the market, which can contain harmful carcinogenic chemicals. British fashion brand Stella McCartney released a jumpsuit embellished with hundreds of Radiant Matter BioSequins. The iridescent sequin's are made from natural cellulose that is more sustainable than regular plastic sequins.

Elissa Brunato has been shortlisted in the Bentley Lighthouse Award category of Dezeen Awards 2023.
