K-Studio has designed a heritage site that celebrates the traditional culture of winemaking on the Greek island of Samos.
Set within a century-old vineyard, Liknon aims to forge a connection between the Metaxa wine brand and its origins near the village of Vourliotes.
K-Studio wanted to steer away from the traditional concept of a museum and instead offer an immersive, interactive and sensory experience as visitors explored the vine’s habitat.
The studio based its design around the vineyard's terraced plateaus, carving out a route along the stonewalls and embedding enclosures throughout them.
This project has been shortlisted in the cultural project category of Dezeen Awards 2023.
