TypeTogether has designed the new five-weight typeface, Noort Bengali.

Noort Bengali is a text typeface, designed as a companion to its eponymous award-winning Latin counterpart.

This five-weight typeface family provides great readability for long texts through a crisp and energetic texture.

It interprets the expressiveness of the Latin design by employing an interrupted headline that reinforces the dynamism of Bengali handwriting to create a bilingual family that respects cultural differences.

"Noort Bengali comes with an extensive suite of cartographic and wayfinding icons that embody the design's spirit, and make it a useful tool for information design," told TypeTogether.

This project has been shortlisted in the graphic design category of Dezeen Awards 2023.
