Spacon & X has designed Stine Goya SS23.
"Last year, we made interpretations of the natural elements [of] fire, wind and air," said Spacon & X. "This year, we wanted to showcase a physical manifestation of the previous element, earth, to enhance the beauty in unconventional natural materials."
This season, the collection took inspiration from the '1990s Riot Grrrl' movement, where women fought for their rights through (performance) art and broke free from rigid social structures.
As a result, the set design was a symbol of powerful, expressive and visionary female energies.
"This was our point of departure," added Spacon & X. "We translated this into pushing conventional design boundaries by integrating alternative materials and practices."
This project has been shortlisted in the installation design category of Dezeen Awards 2023.
