Mitsubishi Jisho Design has designed the Veneti-An Tea House in Venice, Italy.
This project is a temporary tea house that was built in a park facing the Venetian lagoon, where its shape is inspired by origami and the latitude of the earth.
"We developed a technology to use Italian food wastes such as pasta and coffee as building materials," said Mitsubishi Jisho Design. "Since these materials are vulnerable to water, we treated them with a waterproofing treatment of natural ingredients so that they can be returned to the soil."
All parts can be easily assembled and disassembled by simply pulling out and inserting. After disassembling the tea house, the parts can be reassembled as furniture.
This project has been shortlisted in the small project category of Dezeen Awards 2023.
