Multi-disciplinary Studio Urquiola works on projects in industrial product design, architecture, art direction and strategic consultancy.

Recent projects by Studio Urquiola include a collection of outdoor rugs inspired by the texture of woolly jumpers and a 4,300 square-foot flagship showroom with plant-filled alcoves for Italian furniture brand Moroso in New York.

Previous and ongoing clients include Agape, B&B Italia, Boffi, De Padova, Flos, Kettal, Kvadrat, Louis Vuitton, Molteni&C and Moroso.

Judges comments: "Prolific Milan-based designer Patricia Urquiola works across furniture and products as well as architectural projects, yet it was her studio’s interior projects that attracted the judges. Recent projects, including hotels and residential, have demonstrated a sensitive response to both contemporary and heritage environments while adding Urquiola’s signature colour contradictions, rich textures, flourishes of greenery and a strong dialogue between craft and the industrial."
