Bonnie Hvillum
Danish designer Bonnie Hvillum is the founder and creative director of Natural Material Studio.
Hvillum has worked in several creative fields including art direction, photography, and innovation consultancy before founding the Copenhagen-based design studio Natural Material in 2019.
With a multi-disciplinary team in Copenhagen, Denmark, the creative studio operates in a cross-section of art, design, research and architecture with installations, commissions and consultancy, centred around bio-based materials.
The studio has collaborated with brands including athletic apparel Adidas, Copenhagen-based restaurant Noma, clothing brand Calvin Klein, Design Museum Denmark and architecture firm Snøhetta.
Natural Material received the Bo Bedre Innovative of the Year award for its large-scale installation Human Nature at Copenhagen Contemporary in Denmark and has exhibited during Milan Design Week and Design Miami.
In 2023, Hvilum was named winner of the inaugural first Dezeen Awards Bentley Lighthouse Award.
