Llisa Demetrios
Llisa Demetrios is the chief curator of the California-based educational non-profit Eames Institute of Infinite Curiosity.
Youngest granddaughter of Charles and Ray Eames, Demetrios continues their creative legacy.
Having curated nine exhibitions for the institute, Demetrios recently led the opening of their new headquarters and gallery space in Richmond, California. Her aim is for the institute to teach the lessons of Charles and Ray Eames, enabling individuals to solve problems through design.
Beyond her role at the Eames Institute, Demetrios is an accomplished bronze sculptor, was previously an archivist at the MoMA and served as registrar at the Eames Office.
Demetrios is the president of the board of directors for the Petaluma Arts Center in California and an active board member of the Eames Foundation.
