Michele De Lucchi

Michele De Lucchi is the founder of the multidisciplinary creative studio AMDL Circle.

De Lucchi was one of the leading figures of design studio Alchimia and Milan-based furniture brand Memphis and head of Design at manufacturing company Olivetti between 1988 and 2002.

AMDL Circle works across many sectors providing its clients with expressive and strategic projects that embrace architecture, interiors, products and communication.

He is the designer of the Tolomeo for furniture brand Artemide, a lamp which received the Compasso d’Oro award in 1987.

In 2000 he was appointed Officer of the Italian Republic by President Azeglio Ciampi. In 2001 he was appointed professor at the Università Iuav di Venezia and received an honorary degree from Kingston University in 2006.

Since 2008 De Lucchi has been a professor at the design faculty of the Italian university Politecnico di Milan and a member of the Accademia Nazionale di San Luca in Rome.
