Peter Mabeo
Peter Mabeo is the founder of Botswana-based design brand Mabeo Furniture.
The furniture brand combines the values of traditional craft practices with modernism and aims to creates relationships between the design world and craftspeople and artisans in Botswana.
Along with Botswanan designer Beulah Serema Mabeo's design studio also aims to establish a broader collaborative framework through which local architecture, craft, design and art can flourish.
Mabeo has exhibited works at major international design events and received an award for Best Craftsmanship at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) in New York.
The brand has also been featured in international publications and completed furniture projects for luxury hotels in Stockholm, Milan and New York.
In 2021 he was appointed by Fendi to design the furniture, exhibition space and communication material for their 2021 exhibition at Design Miami.
