Tej Chauhan

British industrial designer Tej Chauhan is the founder of design practice Tej Chauhan Ltd.

Chauhan's work centres on an emotive connection in everyday objects. He joined the Nokia Design team in 2000, where he designed some of their iconic phones, including the Nokia 7600, the Nokia 7280 and the Nokia 7370.

The designer has collaborated with brands including Artifort, Blackberry, British Airways, EE, Fiskars, Habitat, Huawei, Ikea, John Lewis, Joseph Joseph, Lexus, Metalarte, Motorola, Nike, Panasonic, Rado, and Samsung.

Chauhan has received multiple accolades including the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) Gold and Silver, Grand Prix du Design Gold, and International Design Award. He has also been shortlisted for awards programmes such as Dezeen Awards, Elle Decoration British Design Awards and the Homes & Gardens Designer Awards. In 2022, Chauhan was a judge on Sky TV’s The Big Design Challenge.

His designs have been featured in Elle Decoration, Esquire, Future Laboratory, Homes & Gardens, The New York Times Style Section, The Observer, Surface, Viewpoint, Vogue, Wallpaper*, Hypebeast and Dezeen.
