Guangdong Dongpeng Holdings has designed Act Upon Locality, an eco-friendly construction material solution.

This project promotes sustainable design by repurposing discarded ceramics with significant carbon emissions from high-temperature firing in Jingdezhen, China.

The process converts 60% ceramic waste and 20% industrial waste, like fly ash, into eco-friendly construction materials using no-burn methods.

By transforming industrial solid waste into practical and aesthetically satisfying building materials, this project showcases the application of sustainable industry practices.

This project has been longlisted in the sustainable design (building product) category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
