Bolon designs and produces climate-neutral flooring and rugs.
All of Bolon's flooring and rugs now contain BIO-sourced PVC produced using pulp and paper industry waste, recycled PVC from window frames and pipe waste and recycled chalk from marble slab production.
"Recycling is woven into everything we do, and we have a special love for waste material," said Bolon.
"In 2023 and 2024, we invested in multiple material innovations to push both ourselves and recycling in the design industry."
This means that all of its products contain 68% waste material and have a 0% climate impact per square metre and Bolon "still [has] the most premium flooring design on the market."
This project has been longlisted in the sustainable design (building product) category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
