Bergmeisterwolf has renovated the Adler Historic Guesthouse in Brixen, Italy.
This project is located in the old town of Brixen and ºarticulates itself in a parallelism to the River Eisack.
The main aim of the design process is building connections: connections between old and new, the inside and outside, as well as the city and the river.
The outcome is the generation of new axes in the historical urban fabrics, to give new impulses that allow a vision to emerge from tradition, to combine the historical with the new and to create dialogue spaces.
These flowing transitions achieve a balance between the past and the present; a balance that is also architecturally complemented by adding five new bay windows to the Adler Historical Guesthouse in continuity with the two existing ones.
This project has been longlisted in the hospitality project category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
