The Next Enterprise Architects, Harnoncourt and Fuchs & Partner have designed the Contemplative Spaces: The El Lissitzky Exhibition space in Hannover, Germany.
In the exhibition, 'The New Man, The Announcer, The Constructor. El Lissitzky: Self-Portrait as the Kestner Gesellschaft', the association traced its own origins and avant-garde mission.
The show presented works by El Lissitzky and important contemporaries, and specially-produced pieces by present-day artists.
The Proun Drawings (1923) can be read as a starting point for freely experimenting with compositions based on archetypal bodies, lines and surfaces.
"Adopting this mindset, we zoned and created relationships between the existing spaces, using these archetypes to experiment in three dimensions and transform the visitors into explorers between the temporal horizons of then, now and beyond," said The Next Enterprise Architects.
This project has been longlisted in the exhibition design (interior) category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
