Studio ID+ has developed the interiors of De Linde; Designing for Dementia in Achterberg, Netherlands.
De Linde is a small-scale residential care facility for 24 elderly people with dementia, uniquely located in the small village of Achterberg in the Netherlands.
De Linde is an outstanding example of how design and research can contribute to an evidence-based interior design that supports people with dementia in every conceivable way.
"The client, Stichting QuaRijn, a semi-state-regulated care organisation, had a unique perspective on the freedom they wanted to give their residents," said Studio ID+.
"The building was designed as a collection of individual cottages connected by communal living rooms."
This project has been longlisted in the health and well-being interior category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
