Team has designed the new visual identity and brand strategy for Independent.
Independent, known for its 'anti-fair' ethos and commitment to curatorial excellence, emerged as a distinctive voice in a monotonous art landscape with an intimate and considered offering.
Under founder and CEO Elizabeth Dee's guidance, Independent has evolved since its founding 15 years ago, moving far beyond a seasonal art event to become a year-round fixture in the cultural landscape.
To mark the organisation's transformation, Independent sought out the strategic design studio, Team, for a new brand strategy, architecture and visual identity system that reflected its ambitious vision of showcasing emerging artists and galleries to a global audience.
This project has been longlisted in the graphic design category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
