Carlos Jiménez and Leblume have designed the Mediterránea Collection, a series of handmade tiles.

Mediterránea is a collection of handmade zellige tiles designed for the collaboration between the Spanish firm Todobarro and the Moroccan firm Aït Manos.

The geometries and patterns are inspired by traditional crafts and materials used in both Moroccan and Andalusian ways of living.

Some designs were based on plants and natural fibres such as line, rattan, pines and canes; others were directly inspired by the Alboran Sea, or simply found inspiration in leather craftsmanship.

The collection includes six different designs to create endless compositions.

This project has been longlisted in the surface design category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
